A couple years ago, a family from California discovered that forest animals were drinking from a fountain in their garden, so they installed cameras to see exactly who was coming to the watering hole. Then they put in a big drinker for the animals and birds, and one day a bear cub came in. She liked the place so much that she started bringing her cubs there. The family decided to dig a whole pool for them, and the animals are very happy about it

The aerodynamics of the Red-billed Blue Magpie in flight. Native to Asia, this bird is roughly the size of a magpie — but with an exceptionally long tail, one of the longest among all corvids. That tail isn’t just for show. In flight, it acts as an aerodynamic stabilizer, improving balance, maneuverability, and control during sharp turns and gliding.
